Pre-Conference: Growing Your Digital Greenhouse

This ½ day pre-conference will provide an overview of the digital library landscape, with a focus on approaches and best practices for any kind of library, regardless of size or budget. Discussion points will include: best practices for digitizing different types of media, a brief survey of systems and tools, approaches to managing a digitization project and team, strategies for generating funds. Examples of good live productions sites will also be provided and attendees will be contacted before the session to solicit questions.
