Cultivating a Sustainable Collections Garden

The University of PEI has developed an innovative approach to managing its collections, especially in the context of difficult decisions regarding budgets. Working from an evidence-based decision-making philosophy, this presentation will demonstrate the use of Google Docs along with usage data from all available sources including the catalogue and server logs, and locally-designed indexing overlap analyses to make new subscription, book budget allocation, and subscription cancellation decisions.
