Did Harry Potter Change the World? Adults Reading Children's Literature

Adults are buying young adult fiction — for themselves, and in numbers that suggests a blurring of the line between adult and child audiences.  We will look at some of the causes of this shift and some of the consequences, and look briefly back to the origins of children's literature in English to see the lessons that time might have for our own.
